At last night’s event, I was talking with a fellow Embarker and commented to her that I felt I was looking at the core foundation of Embark right then and right there. Her reply was, “I feel like we’re all the Founders!” I couldn’t agree more!
Needhi, Ruthie, and I were ecstatic with the wonderful turnout and inspiring conversations last night. A new era of opportunity and new platforms for women are being developed in East Texas and I fully believe we women who stood in the Butler Architecture Group office the evening of February 28, 2017, will play an integral role in ushering in that change.
Thank you fellow Embark Women Founders for taking a chance on us, making the time to attend last night, and supporting this cause — OUR collective cause. A special thanks to all our supporters who went above and beyond and to former Mayor Barbara Bass for joining us, supporting us, and sharing her women’s mentoring initiative with us.
We’re eagerly looking forward to more participation in the upcoming events through Embark Women! But let’s continue this current momentum and continue the conversations. Let’s take initiative and try new things. Let’s be vulnerable and brave. And let’s not wait another month before we see each other and continue growing this joint effort.
We’ll be in touch soon, with details about a casual gathering – hopefully one late afternoon or evening next week. If you have any suggestions, please let us know!
Thank you, again, for making being Early Adopters & Embark Founders!
